At the 230th session of the Baltimore-Washington Conference, May 29-31, two rules of law were requested from Bishop Marcus Matthews.
The first, by the Rev. Stephen Ricketts, was a request for a ruling regarding the conference’s voting procedures and process on five resolutions regarding human sexuality.
The second, by Matthew Sichel, asked if the resolution, “Agree to Disagree on Issues Pertaining to Gender and Sexual Minorities,” which the conference passed, violated the Book of Discipline or conflicted with the decisions of the Judicial Council.
