United Women In Faith
We, the United Women in Faith, is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Recently, the United Methodist Women took on a new name (a new logo and a new website) to better reflect how we answer our calling today. It’s an exhilarating time, as we commit to even greater inclusivity, action and impact. We remain women of passion and power, united by God’s love in our mission to support women, children and youth.
Our new name is part of the refreshment of our organization that includes a new look, new feel and new and improved programs designed to better nurture current members and welcome new women into our sisterhood. We will have the opportunity to join together to put our love into action!
For more information visit our new website at www.uwfaith.org. Also, more information can be found in our Response Magazine March/April 2022 edition. Members raise up to $20 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children, and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.

- Limitless- United Methodist Women’s most recent initiative that creates a space for young women as they embody the United Methodist Women’s purpose. Grounded in the scripture Luke 4:14, the seed event was held at Duke University in August 2012. The vision was to equip young women of faith, to transcend barriers and to do justice in their communities by putting their faith, hope, and love into action. The event was co-planned by women of the Young Women’s Consultative Group, and each conference recommended three women – one youth (14-17), one young adult (18-30), and one adult to serve as a mentor. The hope was (and still is) to create a multi-generational team that would envision and strategize together to engage young women across conferences. Contact: Shanae Als, 917-577-7504
- Charter For Racial justice (CFRJ)- Provides plans for the implementation of the Charter, monitors conference-approved action plans to implement the Charter and regularly evaluates progress made on conference, district, and local implementation plans. Contact: Sherie Koob, 202 329 7113
