Alice Veselka Gibson Loeffler, 81, the wife of the late Rev. Aubrey L. Loeffler, died May 1, 2014, in Victoria, Texas. Funeral services were held at the Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel in Alice, Texas, May 5, 2014.

Alice Veselka was born Feb. 9, 1933, in Robstown, Texas, to the late Walter E. Veselka Sr. and Mary Zita Veselka. She graduated from Sinton High School then attended Durham’s Business College in San Antonio, Texas.

She and Rev. Aubrey Loeffler were married following the death of her first husband Woodard Gibson, with whom she had five children.

Loeffler worked for the Alice Independent School District. Her interests were around her home and church, including singing, flower arranging, cooking and baking family favorite recipes.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Woodard Gibson and Aubrey Linn Loeffler.

Survivors include her children: Walter Lloyd Gibson, Nancy Marie Sklar, Marc Edward Gibson, Paul Eugene Gibson, and Vanessa Michele Gibson; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all of the “angels”, the staff at Twin Pines Rehabilitation Center and Hospice of South Texas in Victoria, Texas, who helped care for their mother.
