    Anxiety is defined as “an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes like increased blood pressure.” (American Psychological Association; Medicalnewstoday.com).

    It is normal for us to experience anxiety symptoms, but if we experience symptoms to persistent or extreme levels such that the anxiety interferes with our ability to function in relationships, school, work, and other roles, then we should seek support.  You.are.not.alone.
