Joint Ash Wednesday Services -Rev. Dr. William E. Butler and Rev. Dr. Andrea M. King and their respective congregations observed Ash Wednesday services together.  The two Beltsville pastors conducted joint services and exchanged pulpits for the preaching.  At noon, Emmanuel UMC hosted Queen's Chapel, and Dr. Butler preached.  At 7:00 p.m., Queen's Chapel UMC hosted, and Dr. King preached.  Both Pastors blessed and imposed ashes at both churches. Additionally, special At Home Liturgy Ash Wednesday packets were prepared for those members who were unable to physically attend either Ash Wednesday Service.

Oxon Hill UMC Youth fed the hungry and served the community through our Bread Ministry during their spring break. They practiced what it means to be followers of Jesus Christ with their acts of mercy in this Holy Week.

Moving! Moving! Moving Day! When scripture says that it more blessed to give than to receive, the members of Emmanuel UMC (Beltsville) took it to heart, donating furniture and household goods for families who were getting a fresh housing start. The moving truck was loaded and made its rounds from Silver Spring to Beltsville to Baltimore!  The families were blessed beyond their imagination and so were the church and community donors.  When moving day finally arrived, you could almost heard the theme song from "Rawhide" echoing in the atmosphere, "Movin', Movin', Movin'...!"  Moreover, at the end of an more than eight hour day, everyone it felt like a long cattle drive!
