Chief Financial Officer

The Horizon Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church invites inquiries and applications for the position of Chief Financial Officer. This is a senior leadership appointment with denominational, fiduciary, and pastoral dimensions, and it is central to how the conference resources ministry across its churches, camps, campus ministries, and mission partners.

The CFO serves on the senior leadership team as the chief financial voice of the conference and as the principal steward of its financial integrity, transparency, and accountability. The role combines the strategic work of an executive with the disciplinary duties of the Conference Treasurer, and it carries responsibility for the conference’s benefit programs and statistical reporting.

Monthly Prayer Breakfast Hosts

The Maryland Christian Chamber of Commerce (MDCCC) is seeking church partners across Maryland to host a monthly prayer breakfast that brings together church and marketplace leaders for prayer, fellowship, and encouragement. Gatherings will take place on the first Tuesday of each month from 7:00–9:00 a.m., with a different church hosting each month. MDCCC will provide food and beverages, receive an offering for the host church, and provide a speaker. The host church may also invite a business owner or marketplace leader from its congregation to share for approximately 15 minutes, and church members are warmly welcome to attend. Churches interested in hosting a month are invited to contact Rev. Eunjoung Joo to explore the opportunity and coordinate the program.

Communications Specialist

Children’s Choir Assistant

Cheverly United Methodist Church is seeking a Children's Choir Assistant to help lead a weekly 30-minute choir rehearsal for children ages 3–5 from October through December (with the possibility of continuing into the spring). Working alongside the Director of Music, this role helps prepare young children for the Christmas Pageant while fostering a joyful and meaningful worship experience. Ideal candidates have a love for Christ, experience or interest in teaching music to young children, strong vocal and/or instrumental skills, and can pass a background check. The position averages about one hour per week plus one Sunday morning for the pageant and pays $50 per rehearsal ($200/month).
