Checking in at Annual Conference using the Express Check-In Program (“ECI”)
GENERAL INFORMATION
What is Express Check-In?
Express Check-In was developed to ease congestion and lower wait times in the registration area at Annual Conference. ECI registrants can skip the standard on-site check-in process by receiving most of their conference materials via mail prior to the conference.
What registrations qualify for ECI?
Those who register online on/before midnight on May 1st and have no balance due on their registration.
When will ECI registration packets arrive?
Materials will be mailed via First Class USPS mail so they will arrive at least one week prior to Annual Conference. ECI registrants will be notified via email when their packets are placed in the mail.
ECI packets are shipped in a small postcard sized envelope with a BWC return address and “TIME SENSITIVE MATERIALS – OPEN PROMPTLY” printed on the envelope.
What is in the ECI registration packet? (* = if applicable)
- Voting Unit Checkout Card
- Registrant & Guest* Name Badge(s).
- Dietary Restriction Alert Card*
- Tickets for items selected/purchased during registration, including; Conference Workshops, Meals, Special Meal Events, Assistive Listening Device, Transportation & Child Care
What should I do when I receive the ECI packet?
- Please Keep EVERYTHING
- Don’t discard any of the cards in your packet. If you have a question or problem each of these cards contain information that will help us quickly research your issue and address your concerns.

- Carefully review everything inside as soon as you receive it.
- The ECI packet contains all the registration materials for you and your Guests.
- Carefully review your items to make sure everything is correct.
- Don’t lose it.
- You can’t reap the benefits of the ECI program if you don’t have your registration packet with you when you arrive at conference.
- We will send you a reminder right before conference to help you remember to bring your ECI packet.
How does ECI work when I arrive?
- In the clergy or laity registration area, proceed directly to "Express Check-In" counter.
- Present your Voting Unit Checkout Card and completed Credential Form.
- You will receive an electronic voting unit and voting card (if applicable), name badge holder(s), ribbon, lanyard and your conference bag.
RESOLVING COMMON ISSUES
Name tag issues

- In your email, include your first name, last name and customer ID on the first card of your packet.
- Let us know how you would like your name tag printed.
- At conference, proceed to the Express Check-In area first, then go to our name tag area to pick up your corrected name tag.
Ticket Issues

- If revised or additional tickets are needed, proceed to the Express Check-In area first, then go to our On-Site registration area to pick up your revised or additional tickets.
Lost ECI packet
- We will re-print your registration materials and provide all other conference items. Proceed to our "On-Site Registration" counter. Please allow additional time for this process.
