Called to Preach is designed for those who have not completed formal preaching training who may be called upon to preach in a pastor’s absence. Participants will: (1) examine the role of the sermon in the Service of Worship and see it as a proclamation of the Good News and (2) work through the stages in sermon preparation from message topic to final manuscript. This is one of the courses included in the Certified Lay Speaker track.
