POSTPONED-Next Level Leaders Academy

Sponsored by the BWC Leadership Development office, the Next Level Leadership Academy is designed to produce a cadre of leaders who not only understand the purpose, design, mission, character, and power of the church but are capable of leading others in implementing these things as we make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. 

Featured Speakers:

Dr. Bob Jennings is the former president of Lincoln University and Alabama A&M University. Dr. Jennings served as chief evaluator of the Great Lakes Conference (United Methodist Church). A published author, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Morehouse and a Masters degree in Educational Psychology from Atlanta University, a Specialist degree in Interrelated Learning, and a Doctor of Education in Administration and Policy Studies. 

Don McLaughlin has served as the senior pastor for the North Atlanta Church of Christ in Atlanta, Georgia since 1997, following ministries in Ohio and Indiana. He attended Harding University, Candler School of Theology, and Lipscomb University. Over the past 36 years, Don has focused on leadership development, congregational connection, and racial healing. He is the author of Love First: Ending Hate Before It’s Too Late (2018) and Heaven in the Real World (1997).

Lia McIntosh is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified coach, a United Methodist Church endorsed life coach, a Gallup certified CliftonStrengths coach, author, and program officer for the Kauffman Foundation. An ordained United Methodist elder, she pastored four congregations and served as Associate Director of Congregational Excellence (Missouri Annual Conference). Lia graduated from the University of Missouri and Saint Paul School of Theology with Master’s degrees in Business (MBA) and Divinity (MDIV).

The Academy runs Oct. 30 and 31, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., both days. Participants will receive 2.8 CEUs with this training.

The deadline to register is Wednesday, Oct. 28.
