SPACEs (Safe Places for the Advancement of Community and Equity), in partnership with the Advocacy and Action team of the Baltimore-Washington Conference, will host two 90-minute workshops designed to teach you skills for researching your family background/history/origins.
These online Zoom video-conference sessions will take place on Tuesday, September 24 and Thursday, September 26, 2019 and will run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. You will only need to participate in one session.
Free DNA Kit. Every participant will receive a FREE Ancestry DNA kit (currently valued at $99 on the Ancestry.com website).
This workshop will equip you with the tools and skills for researching your family history, and contribute to the creation of the Beloved Community by bringing together the diverse lay and clergy leaders for relationship building and dialogue.
Registration is free. After you register, you will receive a zoom link with the pertinent information to join us.
To make this course more interactive, we kindly ask that you join us from a device with a camera and sound (i.e. smart phone or computer) so that we can engage one another in the most efficient way possible.
