Rev. William “Jack” Bussard Jr.
The Rev. William “Jack” Bussard Jr., 75, a retired Associate Member and pastor of Monkton UMC, died Nov. 20, 2018. Funeral services were held at the Lassahn Funeral Home in Kingsville, Md., Nov. 24.
William Jack Bussard Jr. was born May 1, 1943, the son of the late William Jack Bussard and Ophelia Donsife Bussard.
He pastored United Methodist churches for 38 years including the Washington Village Parish in Baltimore, 1981-84; Dorguth Memorial-Union Square UMC,1984-1990; Olive Branch-Union Square UMC, 1990-91; Olive Branch UMC 1991-93; Cowenton UMC in White Marsh, 1993-2011. He began his service at Monkton UMC in 2011 when he retired and continued to serve throughout his retirement.
He and Annamarie Beecher married in 1989 and had six children who survive. They include son Kelly Bussard and his wife Sandi; five daughters: Karen Cumber and her husband David, Teresa Dorman and her husband Ken, Ginger Marino and her husband Kirk, Deborah Claridge and her husband Frank, and Maranda Jacob and her husband Bruce. He had 20 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
