Mission u


Mission u is an opportunity to study current issues impacting society based on current mission study topics with particular attention to the responsibilities of women in fulfilling the mission work of the church.  Participants grow in understanding the mission of the church in the current world context; conference events are open to members and non-members of United Methodist Women. 

Mission u includes:

  • Worship & singing
  • Interest Groups around current issues
  • Mission Projects
  • Audiovisual presentations
  • Fellowship events

Mission u 2021 – Virtual Event Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24, 2021

Mission u: Finding Peace in Today’s World

Hosted by the United Methodist Women and Wellness & Missions Board of the Baltimore Washington Conference, on July 23 and 24, Mission u 2021 will be a virtual event. This year’s event is open to all, including youth 7-12 grade. The event will explore the book, "PUSHOUT: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools."

This year we are collecting donations for the UMW Conference Projects. The list of projects can be found on the UMW page of the BWC website. All donations will be divided equally between the 9 projects.
