Location: Baltimore-Washington Conference Mission Center, 11711 East Market Place, Fulton, MD US 20759
The call begins with a just a whisper, a nudge from God. Where do we turn for clarity?
If you are sensing a call to set-apart ministry, we invite you to come and discover you are not alone. If you are a pastor or ministry leader who offers guidance to others, we invite you to bring someone who wants to move forward in the journey.
The speaker for the day will be Chaplain Stephen Faller, from New Jersey, who was recently featured in Christianity Today for his book, "Christianity and the Art of Wheelchair Maintenance." The article said, "Three stories run through Stephen Faller’s philosophical memoir, overlapping in a way that, at a bare minimum, will make a reader say out loud, “What a remarkable person!” These threads are the narrator’s immersive understanding of Greek philosophy, his search for a vocation in ministry, and his cerebral palsy. The last came first and remains Faller’s context, condition, and companion on the journey, but never his scourge, excuse, or reason for self-pity."
Hear Faller and learn more about the practical steps to consecrated, licensed or ordained ministry in The United Methodist Church.
