Prayers of the People
We give thanks for Nichols-Bethel UMC's Backpack Buddies program, which works with local schools to provide food to families in need in the Odenton community. They recently received a $2,500 Community Crisis Response grant from the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County. The ministry provides food boxes every week to more than 90 people in 25 families. More than 20 people deliver boxes to homes each week.
Annual Conference Session is online this Saturday
Details about the 236th session of the Baltimore-Washington Conference, the agenda, and more, are at www.bwcumc.org/events/2020-annual-conference.
More than 1,330 members are expected to be in this Zoom session. Members who haven't already, are strongly encouraged to attend the online training sessions. While it is possible to participate in the online annual conference without the training, this preparation will help ensure that your voice and vote are heard and counted.

Clergy renewal retreats begin this fall
This fall, every clergy person in the Baltimore-Washington Conference is invited to attend a free, online Living Well retreat. Each of the themed, daylong retreats will provide opportunities for spiritual rest, renewal, and growth.
