Conference offers resources for re-entering well

Local churches throughout the Baltimore-Washington Conference are following their area government directives for meeting in their buildings, but have also been advised by Conference leaders that congregations should meet for in-person gatherings only when it is safe to do so.
BWC Re-Entering Well Guidelines are available online, along with a number of Tip Sheets

Churches are encouraged to attend a special Training Tuesday webinar tonight at 7 p.m. on PPP Forgiveness for BWC Churches. Churches that have received funds from the federal Paycheck Protection Program will learn how to fill out the application form to turn these funds from a loan to a grant.

Register online and we'll send you the Zoom sign-in information and password.

Bishop LaTrelle Easterling invites you to join her at noon every day to pray the Lord's Prayer. The Rev. Stacey Cole-Wilson, the BWC executive minister of justice and service, was recently featured in an ecumenical recitation of the Lord's Prayer, created by the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. We share it to offer you peace and continued strength for the journey.

An Inspirational Poem from one of our Annapolis District Laity

I Miss, I Pray

I miss the chance to go to church, to hold hands, hug, and say

“How was your week? Nice to see you!” I miss this, so I pray.

I miss my job and all my kids, even the ones who are tough.

Yet, I know that in these times, many have had it rough.

I miss my sons going to school to see their friends and play.

I’m fun, I know, but it’s not the same, and so I sit and pray.

I miss a world where we could be together, eat and laugh and talk.  I miss a world where our greatest entertainment is not sidewalk chalk.

I miss you all, our normal world, a world without masks and gloves.  I can’t wait to get back in the church and shower each other with love.

So when life gets you down and you miss everything about your normal day, call out to God, for he is listening.  Reach out to him and pray.
