Thank you!

We give thanks for the many churches sending people out on mission trips this summer. We especially lift up Nichols-Bethel UMC in Odenton. Their Chesapeake Bay Workcamp 2019 was in planning for two years and hosted 255 youth and adults from 12 youth groups across 9 states, who worked painting, building porches and doing carpentry repairs at 26 sites, tallying up 7,650 community service hours. As a cosponsor, Nichols-Bethel provides about $25,000 for materials, which is raised through corporate sponsors, fundraising events, and individual donations. What has your church done in mission this summer? Send us  a photo and some brief information!

Church Administrators Workshop

We hope you can join us on Tuesday, September 24, as we meet with Rev. Brian K Brown to discuss the “Outward Mindset” in the morning then learn how play  can be an important and effective tool for improving communication in a workplace environment in the afternoon.

Outward Mindset:

The “Outward Mindset” training will help move you from the default of being self-focused and having an inward mindset or heart at war.  Developing and Implementing an outward mindset increases self-awareness, collaboration, engagement, growth and accountability. Developing and implementing an outward mindset positively effects every relationship and area of influence you have.

Play and Communication:

Communication is a key factor for success in any workplace environment.  A breakdown in communication can be a periodic nuisance, or it can spell the end of an organization.  Research has begun to show that play, of all things, can be an important and effective tool for improving communication between individuals and teams—this is an environment for you and your teams to work out problem-solving kinks and issues on small, inconsequential problems, so when you need to tackle meaningful challenges there will be smooth sailing.

I hope to see you there and please feel free to bring others who may benefit from this amazing workshop.
