Sunday After Easter Worship with the BWC Cabinet

A worship service presented by the BWC Cabinet will premiere on YouTube at 7 a.m. After it airs, it will be available for viewing anytime. The service will feature the "Seven Post-Resurrection Sayings of Christ."

ASL Class!!!

Magothy United Methodist Church of the Deaf held two successful ASL classes last Fall and now we would like to offer another class later this month!  Part of our ministry is to teach the community about American Sign Language, Culture, and Tips when being around Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals.  Once again, we would love to offer this class to the Annapolis District churches.  No experience necessary!  Starting April 19th, we will offer an ASL class for 4 weeks via Zoom! (You must use Zoom to participate).

 

The dates are:  April 19April 26May 2, and May 10.  If you would like to register, please send an email to   . We will respond back with a confirmation.  Don't wait!  This class is only being offered to the first 10 people who register!

Discipleship News and Ideas

Discipleship award nominations open: Who will you honor and celebrate? These annual awards are given to congregations in the areas of abundant health and advocacy, and to individuals for evangelism, youth ministry, and moral courage. The deadline is May 1. Leveraging Communications: 2 days, 20 courses: Identifying how to best deliver messages effectively and efficiently can be a challenge for any local church. In response, United Methodist Communications is launching a series of virtual communications learning conferences aimed to assist all who seek to share the Gospel. The first offering, "The Church Communications Workshops Series: Leveraging Communication for Greater Connection," is focused on next-level communication methods and will take place daily from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on April 20-21. The event offers 20+ learning opportunities facilitated by professionals and leaders of innovative church communications. Women’s Domestic Violence Support Group: The SLK health services corporation is hosting a support group on Wednesday, April 7, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., discussing Domestic Violence in the Midst of the Pandemic. For registration information contact Sharon Coker at 240-280-5303.
