License to Preach School

License to Preach School License to Preach School is offered each year, usually in the spring prior to Annual Conference, to those Certified Candidates who anticipate being appointed to serve a local church as a Licensed Local Pastor.  In certain instances, the District Superintendent and/or DCOM may decide that an assigned leader (such as a lay hire, a CLM who is serving a church or someone not eligible for certified candidate status) may benefit from the training of License to Preach School (LtPS).  They may attend as well, with this stated purpose.  Attendance at LtPS requires the signature of the DS.  LtPS requires 80 hours of training, including an orientation and a preaching practicum.
