Wednesday, May 31, 2023 - Saturday, June 03, 2023
The 239th session of the Baltimore-Washington Conference is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, May 31, through Saturday, June 3, at the Hilton Hotel at 401 West Pratt Street in Baltimore.
Resolutions to be presented at the session are due Feb. 1.
A Pre-Conference Briefing will be held online Saturday, April 29.
This year’s session will include a special focus on young people’s ministries on Saturday, June 3. Bishop Peter Weaver will be the preacher at the ordination service and will lead a Bible study.
This will be the first time Conference members have come together in person for Holy Conferencing since 2019. It is expected to be a time of meaningful worship, learning, discipleship and fellowship. The theme of the Conference is “All About Love.”
The guiding Scripture pass is John 13:31-35: “When he was gone, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once. My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Registration will open in late February.
