Policies, guidelines and procedures are vital in creating healthy boundaries and safe environments to protect those who are most vulnerable from abuse. Once your Safe Sanctuaries committee has purchased and read the Safe Sanctuaries book by Joy Thornburg Melton, the next step would be to create a policy.

Below are several Safe Sanctuary documents that follow the Safe Sanctuaries book and can be used when you create the policy for your church.
