GCORR workshop on Cross Racial Appointments

Second Saturday, Fourth Saturday, from 07/14/2018 to 07/28/2018, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

There are features of the landscape of race and culture in our church and society which can create tension in moments where we need peace and understanding. And no matter how experienced we are working with others, the pastor-church relationship adds a wholly new dynamic to this tension. In recognition of this, we are excited for the privilege to offer you a workshop led by Giovanni Arroyo of the General Commission on Religion and Race. This workshop will dive into methods and models for understanding the dynamics within a Cross-Racial Appointment and how to leverage these as powerful tools to aid your ministries. This is all at no cost to you or your church. We ask that you select at least 4 people from your leadership team and suggest it include the SPRC chair/member; trustee member, church council chair, lay leader, and a young adult of the church.

This workshop is free and we will offer CEUs
