The Northeastern Jurisdiction’s MARCHA, a caucus for Hispanic Latino Ministries, will meet Dec. 8 at 9 a.m. at the Greater New Jersey Mission and Resource Center, 205 Jumping Brook Road in Neptune City, N.J. 

The NEJ MARCHA membership seeks to organize as a caucus to:

• Advocate – for the Hispanic/Latino Community and ministries of the NEJ.
• Establish a network of assets within the NEJ (leadership, resources, existing institutions/initiatives involved in advocacy and leadership within the UMC)
• Coordinate the Political voice of Hispanic/Latino leadership in the NEJ to strengthen, unify and build our political stature and voice in order to engage system power dynamics and participate within the UMC as we encounter institutional crisis. And,
• Facilitate Leadership Formation – to develop alternative systems for leadership formation to include equipping clergy and lay leaders in the areas of critical thinking and processes to deconstruct ideologies and theological framework based in colonization.

 There is a $15 registration fee, payable at the event.
