This advanced course will provide valuable assistance to you as a lay speaker in the art of sermon writing and delivery. You will learn more about using the lectionary, developing a congregation profile, and exploring your call to preach. You will look at how to research topics, interpret scripture, and prepare insightful and inspiring sermons. You will also learn about connecting with the congregation/audience and adding to your “heart-felt” life.
The participant guide is You Can Preach! by Jack Gilbert ($8.00) and: Go Preach! A Primer for Beginning Preachers by Jack Gilbert ($14.00).
