This course is the required introductory course for those who are taking their first step in becoming a Lay Servant. It covers a bit of the background of the United Methodist Church (UMC), Leadership in the UMC, the various caring aspects of the Church, Communication, some history, a bit of Bible study, and a small bit of preaching.
You will also explore the topics of witnessing, teaching, leading, service, and growing in personal faith and personal lifestyle. This introductory course focuses on those who feel called to serve in Lay Servant ministries.
