Winter clothing, food boxes and 1,000 coats will Warm Up D.C. on November 12. Sponsored by Randall Memorial United Methodist Church, Warm Up D.C. welcomes anyone in need of help gathering supplies for the upcoming winter weather. Volunteers will be distributing the free items from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the church, located at 1002 46th Street NE.

“We hope that this effort will relieve the burden of poverty and bring the gift of happiness and warmth to people in need,” said Steven Hill, Warm Up D.C. chairperson.

Event details and volunteer registration are available online at WarmUpDC.org. Community volunteers are needed and do not have to be affiliated with The United Methodist Church – or any church – to participate.
