This two-part workshop is the key to faith leader and community development for equipping and building-up healthy responses to traumatic experiences. We're offering Risking Connections to help identify trauma in your life and that of your congregation's, and to equip you with tools to guide you and yours through that trauma.

This workshop is open only to clergy.

This faith-focused program helps participants learn:

  • The four characteristics that increase the likelihood of an event being labeled traumatic
  • Six realms affected by traumatic experiences
  • How strong positive connection to others even when they are absent, feeling worthy of life, and managing emotions are crucial to healing
  • Three self-capacities faith leaders and communities need to tend to when times are tough
  • What RICH relationships are and how they foster spiritual health
  • How to manage vicarious traumatization that accompanies relating to people in need
  • How faith communities can be healing communities in the face of traumatic events
