The Baltimore-Washington Conference Board of Church and Society is encouraging congregations and other groups to participate in a nationwide concert to end gun violence on Sept. 25.

The concert will be comprised of musical events of all sizes from coast to coast, with hundreds of thousands of people raising their voices in song for one day and one purpose. Speak to your pastor or choir director, make a plan, and go to concert.faithsunited.org to sign up, Church and Society leaders urge.

They also encourage church leaders to preach sermons, sign petitions, and participate in other justice-centered activities to lift up the fact that, on average in the United States, 90 lives are lost each day due to gun violence. For more information, contact the committee chair, Rev. Julie Wilson.
