Conference Council on Youth Ministries (CCYM)
The Conference Council on Youth Ministry is a group of students and adult advisers who are the voice of youth in the Baltimore-Washington Conference. Students in grades 6 through 12 join CCYM to organize conference-wide training, service and mission projects and events. They also represent youth during the Annual Conference meeting in June each year and at the Northeastern Jurisdictional Conference every four years.

The Conference Council on Youth Ministry (CCYM) youth have championed the cause of stress reduction in the lives of young people. The initiative is named STRESS LESS. CCYM also holds a yearly leadership retreat in September. The 2017 retreat will be held September 15-17, 2017.
Youth Members at Large to Annual Conference
The Annual Conference for the Baltimore-Washington Conference of The United Methodist Church will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, May 31–June 2, 2017. Three youths from each district are identified as Youth Members-At-Large and will participate as a voting member in the Annual Conference Sessions. Youths are selected as follows: one youth from each district is selected by the Conference Council on Youth Ministry (CCYM) and two youth are selected by the District Superintendent and the District Youth Leader. The local church does not select youth to be Youth Members-at-Large.
The Book of Discipline requires all Members-at-Large to be a member of a United Methodist Church in the Baltimore-Washington Conference for at least one year. Youth Members-at-Large must be in 7th grade to 12th grade and be involved in the local church youth group for at least one year.
Pam Bowen, Conference Youth Coordinator, will lead the Youth-Member-At-Large program during Annual Conference. Youth will be housed in hotel rooms with two or three other youth and chaperoned by adults in accordance with the Safe Sanctuaries Policy.
CCYM Mission Statement
To Support, Educate, Advocate, Represent, and Resource, on behalf of the Conference and District Youth Ministries, the local church youth ministries, and the youth – both churched and unchurched – of the Baltimore-Washington Conference.
