Wesley Nexus and La Plata UMC presents "A Personal Faith Journey into the 21st Century," a Science And Religion Discussion with Mike Beidler.

Beidler is a Christian author, president of the American Scientific Affiliation (DC Metro Section), lifetime member of the National Center for Science Education (NCSE), and columnist to the BioLogos Foundation. He is a retired U. S. Navy Commander, currently serving as the Acting Director for International Affairs for the Department of the Navy.  Among Mike's academic degrees, he holds a Master of Science in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego. He is a frequent contributor to publications writing on the harmony between evolutionary theory and the Christian faith.

The event will be held Sunday, Nov. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the sanctuary at LaPlata UMC at 3 Port Tobacco Road in La Plata.
