Youth Members at Large to Annual Conference


BWC CCYM members give their report to the 2017 Annual Conference in a special video production.

Each year, three youth from each district are identified as Youth Members-At-Large and will participate as a voting member in the Annual Conference Sessions. Youth are selected as follows: one youth from each district is selected by the Conference Council on Youth Ministry (CCYM) and two youth are selected by the District Superintendent and the District Youth Leader. The local church does not select youth to be Youth Members-at-Large.

Qualifications
The Book of Discipline requires all Members-at-Large to be a member of a United Methodist Church in the Baltimore-Washington Conference for at least one year. Youth Members-at-Large must be in 7th grade to 12th grade and be involved in the local church youth group for at least one year. 

Arrangements
Cheryl Cook, Conference Youth & Young Adult Coordinator, will lead the Youth-Member-At-Large program during Annual Conference. Youth will be housed in hotel rooms with two or three other youth and chaperoned by adults in accordance with the Safe Sanctuaries Policy.
