Academy on Finances for Local Churches - Session 2 (Wilmington, DE)

Consisting of four sessions taken over two years, the Academy for Church Finance seeks to enhance the understanding and skills of laity for financial leadership in the local church so that laity and clergy work in partnership to grow healthy congregations.

Space is limited. Register early.

Tuition: $1,500 per church (Discounts for current clients)
Payable in installments over two years.

  • $200 due at time of acceptance into the Academy

Session 2: Organizing for Effective Stewardship and Creating a Culture of Giving

Lesson Objectives: Develop skills for comprehensive year round stewardship in your congregation to increase giving for mission and ministry and learn best practices for creating a climate for generosity in the local church.

Lesson Objectives: Learn best practices for managing aspects of local church finances including alternative giving methods, best accounting practices, investment policies, reporting, budgeting, and the role of the finance team and learn how to align a congregation’s budget with the vision and mission

Session Four – What We Can Learn from Community Fund Raisers and Planned Giving
Lesson Objectives:  Learn from non-church fund raisers the best practices around identifying the needs and donors, the various facets of fundraising, making the “ask” and donor life cycle, and Stewardship, thanking, and donor engagement.
