Young Adult Korea Partnership

For the last two years, Baltimore-Washington Conference (BWC) young adults have been partnering with young adults from the South Korean Annual Conference. In 2009, eight BWC young adults traveled to Seoul, Korea for 10 days of learning, preaching, worshipping and learning from ministries that happen half way across the world, but can be helpful in finding our own way here in the United States.

Thirteen young adults from Korea will travel to the BWC from July 1-14, 2010 for shared ministry, mission and experience. From Tuesday, July 6 to Friday, July 9, Korean delegates and young adults from the BWC will retreat together at West River Camp. It will include a service project, canoeing, low ropes, shared worship experiences, and building relationships. We'd love for you to join! The cost for lodging and meals for the week is $150 or $11/meal and $26/night. If you're interested in going, contact Olivia Gross at ogross@bwcumc.org.

Some of the schedule is already set, but there are opportunites to meet up with Korean delegation, especially for the retreat, and during the visits to Baltimore, Washington and Annapolis. See schedule for details. If you're interested in meeting up, contact Kate Thomas at kthomas@bwcumc.org or Brian Shockey.
