Growing in Discipleship: A State of the Church Study Guide
The following 5-part study was developed as a companion to Bishop John R. Schol's episcopal and State of the Church Address given to the members of the Baltimore-Washington Conference on May 22, 2008.
Bishop Schol is the United Methodist bishop of the Washington Area and serves the 685 churches and 185,000 United Methodists of the Baltimore-Washington Conference.
The five session study may be used with small groups, Sunday school classes, church councils, United Methodist Women/Men and other groups within the life of the church. Read the full text.
The study will help groups reflect on the larger ministry of the church and how to grow mission, disciples, spiritual leaders and congregations at the local level.
