Bishop Schol runs for Hope
Show your support - Bishop John R. Schol ran a half-marathon to raise money for the Baltimore-Washington Conference Hope Fund
How early do you get up on a chilly Saturday morning to go for a run?
Bishop Schol ran a half-marathon in one hour and 44 minutes on Saturday, March 21. Lauren Stitzlein of CCYM news asked Bishop Schol why he was running this marathon. Bishop Schol said "I run for our brothers and sisters in Zimbabwe who walk or run everyday just to get where they need to be for work, for school, for food, for survival, for worship."
Bishop Schol challenges you to show your support for Zimbabwe through the Hope Fund. Marathon donations will be accepted through April 10.Simply pull out your credit card and log in below. Pledges can be in the amounts of: $5,000, $1,000, $500, $100, $50, $30 or $20.
