Pastor Walter Morris "Wally" Bosman Jr.

Pastor Walter Morris "Wally" Bosman Jr., 67, a retired Local Pastor, died Aug. 2, 2018.  A Celebration of Life Service was held Aug. 8 at Deer Park UMC, which he had made his home church. The service was officiated by the Rev. John Dean.

Walter Morris “Wally” Bosman Jr. was born Feb. 9, 1951, in Baltimore, one of eight children of the late Evelyn M. Jones and Walter Morris "Lefty" Bosman Sr.

He served as pastor of Salem UMC 2005-2011, and for Middleburg–Uniontown Charge, 2011 until he retired in November 2014.

He was a talented and accomplished musician, singer and songwriter, and an avid Civil War reenactor. In 2000 he released his studio recorded CD, titled "He Did It All", which included nine Christian songs that he composed and performed, plus the hymn Amazing Grace written by John Newton. His family and friends enjoyed his gifted sense of humor and spontaneous wit. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.

Bosman was predeceased by his step-mother Florence Johnson Bosman and four siblings.

 He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Brenda Shilling Bosman. Survivors also include his son, Corporal Alexander Patrick Bosman, USMC. Three siblings and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
