ADCYM

Our Story
Comprised of youth ages 12 to 18 from all of the churches in the Annapolis District of the Baltimore-Washington Conference, the Annapolis District Council on Youth Ministry (ADCYM) is designed for youth ages 12-18 and their adult leaders. This ministry involves a much wider age range. We try to challenge our youth to go back to their communities ready to make a difference in God's world and to live out their faith in ways they never thought possible.
ADCYM is not just a youth group - we are a total Youth Experience.
ADCYM encourages youth to:
SEEK the truth and ways in which God can use you...
PRAY to God for guidance on your faith journey...
LEARN about ways you can make a difference in this world...
ACT on your faith using what gifts God has blessed you with...
TEACH by example when you return to your communities.
Vision Statement
To be a more effective Acts 2 ministry geared towards equipping young people with skills that they need to be healthy, whole individuals who can provide leadership in the local church, the community and the world.
To encourage young people to live out God's vision for themselves and others, with hope for a just and inclusive world.
Despite the challenge, our mission is to reach out to the youth and others in the Annapolis District of the United Methodist Church and their communities who may not otherwise be given an opportunity to be a part of a Christian-organized ministry that is centered around the future of today's youth.
