A VOCATIONAL DISCERNMENT WEEKEND "Lead a life Worthy of the Calling to which You have been Called..." (Ephesians 4:1)

Are you searching for a career that will truly fulfill your heart, mind and soul? Does the path forward seem unclear or lonely? Are you searching for deeper meaning in your job? Dive in and Make Waves during this vocational discernment weekend!

The weekend will begin at dinner time on Friday, October 1, 2010 and finish in the evening of October 2.  A spirit-filled worship, information packed workshops, and panels of those who have answered God's Call to leadership as mission interns, in laity leadership, or to be ordained as deacons and elders in the United Methodist Church.  We will witness to how God has invited us into ministry and will help you listen for places God may be inviting you to "Drive In" to a wide range of service in the church and world.

The Registration Fee of $40, $55 after covers 4 meals and simple housing on the Wesley Campus or nearby.  We encourage young people to seek sponsorship from their congregation if this cost is a hardship or contact us for scholarship toward the event. 

Join area young adults from high school seniors to age 24 for a weekend of asking questions, listening to God, connecting with others and determining the path God has for you. The weekend will be hosted by Wesley Theological Seminary in downtown D.C.

There will be time to connect with others who live near you and who are also searching; be inspired by people who've been in your shoes and can help you navigate the muddy waters. We'll worship, play, break out into workshops that relate to a variety of ministry paths and have time to speak with area non profits and other ministries who are ready to welcome you with open arms.
