Korea Peace Festival & Vigil 2018

Purpose of the Event:

  • To Celebrate the renewed sense of peace and reconciliation around the Korean Peninsula
  • To Learn what and how ecumenical and civilian partners can do to help this renewed peace process being fulfilled into a lasting peace in the Korean Peninsula

July 26

10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Registration 

5:00 pm – 6:15 pm: Welcome Reception/Dinner – Words of Welcome from Rev. Ginger Gaines-Cirelli

6:30 pm – 7:15 pm: Opening Worship – Greetings from Bishop LaTrelle Easterling, Preaching from Rev. James Chongho Kim (former chair of the UM Korea peace committee)

 7:15pm -  9:00 pm Plenary I – “History of Korea Peace Journey” – Facilitator: Aimee Hong
