Manidokan Outdoor Ministry Center


Manidokan is located 20-miles west of Frederick, on the Potomac River across from Harper's Ferry, WV. Over 425 acres offers large space, campfire circles, ropes activities, hiking trails for all ages; rich in history and natural setting it is the ideal place for retreats and summer camps.

At Camp Manidokan campers will stay in a variety of housing at camp, ranging from shelter sites (canvas sided cabins), to cabins, and dormitory style lodges. Every camp will eat meals together in the dining hall except when off site on a hike or river trip. Campers will also gather for evening camp-wide activities including a talent show, wacky Olympics and a Hawaiian party.

Adventure Camp, Grades 3-12 $375, See schedule for dates
This camp offers the widest spectrum of camp activities and is offered for campers in every age group. Campers will spend their time growing together in Christian community through all the activities.

Counselors – in – Training
$ 135 Ages 16-17
Manidokan – June 12-14
This is an excellent opportunity to get valuable hands on experience in leading games, guiding small groups, child development, behavior management, and how to assist senior counselors. It will also include training in specific areas to each camp location such as: waterfront, ropes course and nature programs. This is an intense learning experience. Campers who meet the qualifications by the sessions end may be able to serve in the capacity of a volunteer Jr. Counselor at camp this summer.

Adventure Camp 2.0, Grades 7-12 
$750, June 22 – July 4
Have you been to camp before and wished you could stay longer? Then this two-week camp is for you! You will get to spend more time exploring all Manidokan has to offer and experience a great weekend off-site camping trip. *Special Note: This camp will release at 1pm, Friday, July 4th.

Mini Camp, Grades 2-4
$265 June 29-July 2 and August 17-20
This shortened camp experience is a special way for first time campers to be introduced to camp. Campers will sing songs, hike, play games, climb the rock wall, and learn about Christ in a safe and encouraging environment. Campers will experience new things in a positive way that will promote personal growth. This is an ideal experience for children who have never been away from home before.

Eco-Camp  $375 Grades 3-5 July 6-11
Do you like ooey-gooey icky bugs or warm fuzzy cuddly mammals? Come learn about the plants, animals, water, and earth God created. Campers will catch crawfish in Saw Mill Creek, study water ecology, and learn about local animals and plants, in addition to traditional camp activities.

Treasure Hunting  $375 Grades 9-12 July 6-11
Find out if X really does mark the spot! Campers will use GPS units to search for modern geocache treasures at Manidokan and in nearby Harpers Ferry. They will also get to work with metal detectors to find real Civil War relics on camp property. Campers will also be able to find direction in their own lives through Bible study, chapel, and individual challenges on the high ropes course.

River Adventure  $375 Grades 9-12 July 13-18
For older campers in love with the water, come check out this awesome week of camp focused on river activities including rafting, canoeing, and kayaking. Learn new skills and push your body, mind, and soul further. Some experience required.

INspire Camp
$375 Grades 7-12 GIRLS July 13-18
Today's young women face many challenges as they transition from childhood to adulthood. Depictions of women in the media and throughout our culture challenge both parents and their daughters to find positive models of womanhood. During this special camp, seventh through twelfth grade young women will learn more about themselves, growing into women of God, building relationships that enrich their lives all while having a great week of fun at camp.

Horseback Riding
$535 Grades 5-8 July 27-August 1
Campers will learn basic horsemanship including grooming, saddling, bridling, and basic riding skills. Trail rides will go on mountainous trails and along the C&O Canal towpath. Campers will be at the ranch for 3 hours each day and will spend the rest of the time at camp enjoying traditional camp activities.


Deaf Camps, Ages 7-16  $375 August 3-8
Get ready for the fun of Deaf Camp in an all-new setting! Campers will participate in swimming, rafting, hiking, arts and crafts, low and high ropes, and other great camp activities. Each day campers will learn about God’s love through small group study and chapel. All activities will be conducted in American Sign Language, and campers will be grouped by age based on enrollment.

American Sign Language Camp, Ages 8-15  $375 August 3-8
Ready, set, sign! Campers will learn the basics of American Sign Language through daily lessons, and then have the opportunity to practice what they learn through shared activities with Deaf campers. In addition, ASL campers will participate in swimming, arts and crafts, hiking, low and high ropes, and other classic camp activities. Each day campers will learn about God’s love through small group study and chapel. Campers will be grouped by age based on enrollment.


Wet & Wild  $375 Grades 3-5 August 10-15 Warning! You WILL get WET! Join us for a week full of water activities. Campers will spend time on the river, in the pool, and on the field playing a variety of water games. Just as Jesus used water to teach people about God, campers will learn about God and each other with the help of H2O.


Late Night Adventure  $375 Grades 7-12 August 10-15
Calling all night owls! This camp will stay up all night long and sleep during the day. Traditional camp activities will be made nocturnal and campers will also enjoy night games, campfires, learn to cook some meals over a fire and enjoy the sunrise. Caffeine not included!

Appalachian Trail Hiking 
$375 Grades 9-12 July 6-11
Hike the Appalachian Trail through the entire state of Maryland! Campers will spend their first night at camp to prepare their gear before heading out on the trail for a week. This 41-mile hike will be strenuous but rewarding. This camp is open to first time hikers and veterans of wilderness camping. Specialized hiking gear will be required. Christian Friendship $375 June 29-July 4
This camp is for adult campers who are developmentally delayed. Campers will take part in many of the same activities as our other camps, with modifications to meet their needs. Participants must be ambulatory. Grandparents Camp
August 17-20 Kids Ages 8-13
This wonderful intergenerational family experience offers a chance for grandkids and grandparents to be together; learn about one another and one another’s faith journey. Accommodations are in the air-conditioned Lodge.
Cost for two persons is $380; each additional person is $180.


Manidokan Family Weekend 

August 21-24
Growing Together As Disciples
This year’s family weekend will feature opportunities for all members of the family to learn more about growing as disciples of Jesus Christ. Adults will participate in sessions led by Rev. Sarah Andrews examining how to help your children grow in their own faith. Children and youth will participate in studies and activities geared to their age level, as they learn more about God. The entire family will have opportunities to participate in camp activities, including ropes, hiking, swimming and boating. Adults: $175, Ages 13-17: $150, Ages 4-12: $ 135.
